A Season of Heartcrafted Giving Part 2: Joyful Layers with Little Festive Things

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to the second instalment of my Homemade Cards for Seniors Card Drive Series. After the wonderful response to the October 26th debut, my craft room has been filled with such a lovely, flowing sense of creative energy. Lately, I have been diving deep into the gorgeous Little Festive Things Collection by Uniquely Creative, playing with their beautiful Designer Papers and matching Creative Cuts. While I haven't worked extensively with pre-cut elements in the past, I have been absolutely delighted by how intuitive and inspiring they are to layer together.

The Creative Cuts bring such a wonderful mix to the page, blending classic Christmas images like Santa, presents, bows, beautifully decorated trees and festive poinsettias with the sweetest local touches of Australian birds and animals. These co-ordinating designs and matching sentiments allow for a wonderful assembly-line pacing that is incredibly gentle on my hands and deeply relaxing. It has been pure joy to watch these playful holiday stories come to life, and I am so happy to share a little gallery of today's completed additions to my donation stack.

All the cards have had Uniquely Creative Clear Sparkle Brush added to them which makes them shimmer in the light. You have to have sparkle on a Christmas card, don't you?!

I also added Pink Fresh Studio Blush Glitter Drops to each card. These have fast become a favourite in my craft room and would have to be the prettiest embellishments on the market. I love that each pack has 4 different sizes and you just add a drop of your favourite glue to adhere them. Even though I have used so many on my cards, I have hardly made a dent in the bag of them which makes them far more economical that ones that come with a glue dot - especially when you are mass-producing cards.

Some of the card elements have been fussy-cut from the designer papers; others are from the Creative Cuts.

All the other products used on my cards are listed in the Card Recipe below.

Here are my first five cards using this collection:

Hope you like my cards 😊 I will be back soon with another five!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jocelyn
