Uniquely Creative Full Bloom Retirement Card

Hi everyone 😀

Today I am sharing a Retirement Card that I made for a cardmaking acquaintance.

About 2 years ago, I got chatting to a lady at the Self-Serve Checkout at our local supermarket and this lady was just starting out her cardmaking journey - so from then on, we would share photos of our latest makes and encourage each other.  I will miss our chats but I am sure we will see each other at the Craft Shows.

My card uses all Uniquely Creative Full Bloom products - mostly from their Card Kit - other than the sentiment on the card front.

The layout is based on one from their Full Bloom Cardmaking Kit - but I did change up alot of things.

I used Creative Cuts for the flowers around the sentiment panel.  The sentiment panel is from the 6" x 6" pad which originally had a white interior but it looked too stark against the rest of the card so I trimmed it out and added some peachy coloured paper which is the back side of the 12" x 12" paper - Blossom.  I used this same paper for underneath the floral paper.  The floral paper is from the 6" x 6" paper pad and was trimmed to an 1/8" using my Perfect Layers Tools.

The sentiment is a freebie from a Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine which I have had for ages.  I stamped it using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink which I thought was more in-keeping with the muted tones of the images.

The organza ribbon came with the cardmaking kit and I tied it using my Bow Easy and glued it on using Fabric Glue.  The pink rhinestones are also by Uniquely Creative.

I added some Stampin' Up! Dazzling Details glitter glue to the flower centres and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush to the edges of the flowers (not that you can see in the photo).

Once I had finished the card front, I glued it to a white card base using Tombow Mono Multi.  I am sure you could use the card for many occasions and not just retirement.

I even decorated the card inside:

The sentiment is from the Full Bloom Sentiment sheet in the card kit.  The roses were fussy-cut from one of the 6" x 6" sheets.

And I decorated the envelope too:

The rose was fussy-cut from one of the 12" x 12" sheets.  Of course, all the flowers on the card inside and envelope were glittered so look very pretty in real life.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and for any comments you care to leave.
