Stampin' Up Snowy Scenes Christmas Card

 

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing another Christmas Card that I made during this Christmas season:

The great thing about the Stampin' Up Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper is that you can cut out all these awesome snowglobes to use on your cards - so I spent quite a bit of time fussy-cutting all the different ones out.  I went around the edge of the "glass" with Stampin' Up Pool Party Ink to hide any imperfections in my cutting.  I popped the snowglobe up on dimensionals.

The dry embossing was done with my Big Shot and a Cart-Us Snowflake Embossing Folder (sorry, I don't know the exact name) using Stampin' Up Pool Party Cardstock.

The strip of designer paper on the LHS is from the same Snowy Scenes dsp.  

The sentiment is from a recently retired set Stampin' Up - Greetings of the Season - and was stamped using Stampin' Up Garden Green Ink.  I diecut it using an old favourite die of mine called Spellbinders Labels Trio which I have had forever so long retired.  I popped up the sentiment a little using scraps of white cardstock.

As finishing touches, I added 3 x Silver Glitter Cardstock Punched Snowflakes to the snowglobe base with a tiny Molossi Red Rhinestone in each centre - plus two tiny Molossi Blue Rhinestones to the snowflakes on the snowglobe.

Finished size is:  5-5/8" x 4-1/16" or 144mm x 104mm.

Helz Cuppleditch - Christmas Village Singers

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing my last Christmas card from 2018.

This card uses the most recently released Helz Cuppleditch Christmas collection called 'Christmas Village' sold under the brand name 'Trimcraft' which includes diecut decoupage images, paper pads in various sizes, toppers, buttons, twine, bells, wooden shapes, felt toppers, pearls, stickers etc. etc. - everything you need for your crafting projects.  I am just using the diecut decoupage and papers.  Please note that I have no connection to the artist or Trimcraft other than just being a big fan of Helz Cuppleditch's artwork.

The decoupage images came already diecut so it was easy to just pop out the pieces and put them together using dimensionals.

The designer papers are also from the same Helz Cuppleditch collection.  I trimmed the base dotty paper on the card base to 1/18" using my Perfect Layers Tools.

I added the teal organza ribbon in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made using my Bow Easy.  I attached the bow using Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive. 

Here is a 2nd version that I did with a light teal satin ribbon and different snowflake dies:

I had a bunch of snowflakes that I diecut from silver glitter cardstock a while ago ready to use on my Christmas cards (sorry, I don't know which dies I used) and glued them on using Tombow Mono Aqua glue then added Kaisercraft silver rhinestones to the centres.

The sentiment is also from the same Helz Cuppleditch collection which I popped up on dimensionals.  Lastly, I glued my card front to a cream cardstock base using Tombow Mono Multi glue.

The image came already glittered but unfortunately you can't see it in the photo - however, it does look very pretty in real life.   It was super-windy and hot so I had to take the photo on my decking table in the shade out-of-the-wind where the light wasn't so great and I couldn't retake the photo the next day because it was Christmas Day.

Helz Cuppleditch Christmas Village decoupage card!

Hi everyone

Yes, it's another decoupage (aka paper tole) Christmas card.  Thought I had better share all my Christmas cards before the end of December and the Christmas tree and decorations get packed away.  It's my 3rd post in this past week - the most I have done in the past year!  Currently, we are having a heatwave where we live and it was 41°Celsius (105.8° Fahrenheit) yesterday and very hot again today so it is definitely indoor weather with the airconditioning on full blast

The designer papers are also from the same Helz Cuppleditch collection - other than the red layer which is by TPC Studio - Christmas Cheer Ribbon Candy Stripe which I bought on clearance from Riot Art and Craft.  I added the main image panel onto the red paper and trimmed it to 1/16" using my Perfect Layers Tools then rounded the corners using my Corner Chomper to match the main panel.  

I added a punched border from cream cardstock to the bottom panel using an EK Success Scalloped Scallop punch and trimmed the top part of the panel to 1/8".  I added the teal organza ribbon in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made using my Bow Easy.  I attached the bow using Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive.  I trimmed the red paper and cream cardstock on the base panel to 1/16" and 1/8" respectively using my Perfect Layers Tools.

Another Helz Cuppleditch decoupaged Christmas card!

Today I am sharing another Christmas card that I made for my niece.  If you missed my last post, I made quite a few Christmas cards using one of my favourite designers, Helz Cuppleditch, Christmas decoupage collections.

This card uses an older collection called "The Night Before Christmas".  The decoupage (also known as paper tole) pad I bought on EBay from the UK during 2018.   Isn't the image just so ADORABLE!  I really love snowmen - which is probably odd because it never snows where I live and it is Summer at Christmas-time.

The decoupage images came already diecut so it was easy to just pop out the pieces and put them together using dimensionals.

All the designer papers are by My Mind's Eye - 12 Days of Christmas - which is one of my favourite collections from years gone by.  I added the main image onto some of the MME paper and trimmed it to 1/8" using my Perfect Layers Tools then rounded the edges with my Corner Chomper to match the image.  I added a punched border to the bottom panel using an EK Success Scalloped Scallop punch and trimmed the top part of the panel to 1/8".  I added the ribbon in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made using my Bow Easy.  I attached the bow using Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive.  I trimmed the papers on the base panel to 1/16" and 1/8" respectively.

The sentiment is an old one from Elzybells (now out of business) and was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I diecut it using my Big Shot and a My Favorite Things Fishtail Flag Stax die. The die only has a fishtail only on one end so I simply popped it back in my Big Shot to cut the other end.  I layered it onto some of the MME paper and trimmed it with my scalpel then added tiny green Molossi rhinestones to each end of the sentiment.

Lastly, I glued my card front onto a cream cardstock base using Tombow Mono Multi glue.

The image came already glittered but unfortunately you can't see it in the photo - however, it does look very pretty in real life.  It was super-windy and hot so I had to take the photo on my decking table in the shade out-of-the-wind where the light wasn't so great and I couldn't retake the photo the next day because I had already given it to my niece.

Splitcoaststampers - Free for all Friday - F4A407 - Merry December - Happy ??? - Make a card to celebrate your favourite holiday in December.  It could be Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day...you decide but make sure you tell them what you are celebrating.  Just for fun (optional, in no way mandatory), add sparkle to your card.  I am (obviously) celebrating Christmas and I have loads of sparkle on my card - even on the plaid designer paper.

Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra - Anything Goes

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round - December - Anything Goes as long as it is holiday-related

The image is a Lili of the Valley Simply Print image called "A Snowy Hug" which you can find at this link HERE.   I bought a bunch of their Simply Print images a little while ago and they print beautifully with no pixelation even on the largest size - plus I love that the images come in several sizes to suit your needs. Note that I have no connection to the company - just happy to tell you my experience of how well the images print.   I printed the penguins onto smooth white cardstock with my Canon Pixma MG2965 wireless printer.  This is my first wireless printer and boy, it is so nice to not have to fiddle with cords + I can print from my mobile phone just by using the Canon App.  Printers sure have come a long way in recent years and mine is so much faster than my old one.  Anyway, I am digressing.....back to my card......

I diecut the image using my Big Shot and Lifestyle Nesting Square dies.  All the designer papers are by My Mind's Eye - Comfort and Joy from 2016.  I really love how the dotted paper matches the image so well and echoes the snow on the main panel.

The black dotted paper on the side panel was punched using a Fiskars Threading Water border punch which I love to use for masculine cards.  I tied on the ribbon, add Fray Stop to the cut ends then popped the panel up on dimensionals.  I used a Kaisercraft Mini Snowflakes die set to diecut the white star from white glitter cardstock then glued the star onto the knot using Fabric Glue.  Note that this die set comes with a bunch of different sized and shaped snowflakes plus stars.  This has been my go-to set for snowflakes and stars this Christmas season and I can't recommend it enough!

Here is a close-up of that sweet image where hopefully you see the fluffiness and sparkle:

The sentiment is by Penny Black from their Holiday Snippets set which has tons of small sentiments that are perfect for adding to a card when you don't have much room for one.  I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black and diecut it using a Lawn Fawn Slide-on-over die which was the perfect size.  I added a Couture Creations burgundy gemstone either side of the sentiment then glued it down using Tombow Mono Multi glue.

All the layers were trimmed to a 1/8" using my Perfect Layers Tools.

I glued the card front down to a white card base using Tombow Mono Multi glue which gave me a little bit of wriggle-time to get perfect placement with just a small white border showing.

Lastly, I added some Stampendous Cotton White Fun Flock mixed with a little bit of white glitter to the penguin's hats and the snow on the ground using Tombow Mono Aqua glue.  I usually squirt a bit of the glue onto a scrap piece of cardstock then use an old small round paintbrush to spread it exactly where I want it.

I thought about adding some diecut snowflakes around the image but decided to leave things as they were so the card didn't look too fussy for a guy.

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - December - Always Anything Goes and you may enter any creation on which patterned paper/card has been used.  The idea of the challenge is to use up any of those papers we have been "collecting".  My designer papers are from 2011 so I think that I am....ahem... 'well-qualified' for the challenge!

Splitcoaststampers - Ways to Use it - WT667 - Colouring is a perfect way to relax and get rid of all that stress, so take out your favorite colouring mediums....markers, coloured pencils, watercolours, chalks...anything you can use to color.  To make this a little more challenging, you must use at least two different colouring mediums on your card or project.  I used watercolour pencils, Tombow pens and chalks.

The image is by Lili of the Valley (UK) and is called 'James Bear in the Snow' which I bought as an unmounted rubber stamp quite some years ago.  Although you can't get the rubber stamp any longer, you can purchase it from LOTV as a digi image or a pre-coloured printable image.

I stamped the image with Ranger Archival Potting Soil ink and coloured it with a mix of Faber-Castell + Lyra watercolour pencils and Tombow pens.  I paper-pieced the scarf and hat using Bo Bunny Snowfall designer paper from their 6" x 6" pad and added a small amount of shading using a grey Tombow pen.  After fussy-cutting the scarf and hat, I went around the edges with a Pitt Artist Walnut Brown pen to hide any imperfections in my cutting.  I lightly coloured around the image using Kaisercraft blue chalk. The image and teal circle layers were diecut using my Big Shot and Lifestyle Nesting Circle dies.

The designer paper on the card base is also from the Bo Bunny Snowfall collection and is a 12" x 12" sheet called Blizzard.  This collection is from 2011 and is therefore long-retired yet it still remains one of my most favourite all-time releases.  The touches of glitter are so gorgeous!  The teal cardstock on the card base was trimmed to a 1/8" using my Perfect Layers Tools.  I glued the finished card to a white card base using Tombow Mono Multi glue which gave me enough wriggle-time to get the card exactly where I wanted leaving a very small white border.

The sentiment is from Penny Black from their Holiday Snippets set which has tons of very small sentiments that are easy to add to a card when you don't have alot of room for one. It was stamped using Versamagic Ocean Depth chalk ink and diecut using a Lawn Fawn Slide-on-Over die for the sentiment as it was the perfect size.  I added a blue Couture Creations gemstone either side of the sentiment.

The snowflakes were diecut from white glitter cardstock using a Kaisercraft Mini Snowflakes die set which has 8 different-sized snowflakes and two different-sized 8-pointed stars.  I added a blue Couture Creations gemstone to the snowflake centres.  I glued just the centres of the snowflakes down using Tombow Mono Multi glue and bent the arms up a little to give the snowflakes some dimension.

I tied on a teal organza ribbon from my stash, added Fray Stop to the cut ends to stop them from fraying then added a diecut star using teal glitter cardstock from the Kaisercraft Mini Snowflakes die/star set and glued it on using Fabric Glue.

I glued some Stampendous Cotton White Fun Flock mixed with a little bit of white glitter to the teddy bear's hat plus the snow on the ground using Tombow Mono Aqua glue.  The falling snow around the bear is Nuvo Glitter drops in White Blizzard which gave the snow a lovely sparkle and added a bit of dimension.

Lastly, I used a Pitt Artist Walnut Brown pen to go over the eyes and nose to darken them up a little then used a white gel pen to add some highlights.

Craft Creations Robin on Flowerpot papertole Christmas card

Hi everyone 

Happy New Year!  Hope 2017 is everything you would wish it to be!

Just stopping in to share another make from this Christmas season.  If you missed my last post, I wasn't able to make many Christmas cards due to illness and only started them very close to Christmas which meant I had no time to photograph them nor blog them.  Anyway, here is one that I made for my daughter:

I am popping this card into CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for January.   Hazel says on her blog:  "Perhaps this month you'll want to share designs that you made for Christmas, but didn't have time to blog - we would love to see them. And, of course, you might be making a head start on making new designs for this year."  So, why not join in if you made something but like me, didn't have time to blog about it :-) 

I am also entering my card into the Splitcoaststampers Free for All Friday F4A354 Challenge of "Let it Snow" as well as the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club December Christmas Challenge SCSCCDEC16 (note you have to have a paid membership to play along).

The beautiful image is by Craft Creations - Robin on Flowerpot and came already diecut which makes it quicker to pop the pieces out and put them together with dimensionals.  It was quite fiddly with some of the fine stems on the snowdrops as I had to trim down the dimensionals to fit - but I really, really love to put together papertole because I find it's very relaxing plus it's something I can do in front of the TV at night.  

The designer papers are by Wild Rose Studio - Birds and Berries - and I have to say that these papers are some of the most beautiful papers that I have ever seen!  I love them so much that I just ordered another set.

I popped the papertole image onto one of the blue papers and trimmed it to 1/16" using my Perfect Layers Tools.  

The light blue cardstock side panel was punched using a Martha Stewart Pinking Scallop edge punch.  I added a score line using a Mini Martha Stewart score board which gave me a straight line to butt my designer paper up against.  I am not very good at eyeballing things to be straight so any tools or techniques that I can use to make sure things are straight are very helpful as I get really annoyed when something looks crooked.

I tied on some silver and white twine which came in a set of 5 different twines from KMart (Australia).  I tied on a snowflake charm from my stash using the same twine.

Here is a close-up so you can see more detail:

The two snowflakes on the image were diecut from American Crafts Silver glitter paper using a Poppystamps Valley Snowflakes die set and my Big Shot.  This glitter paper is beautiful and easy to diecut plus the glitter doesn't come off and go everywhere.  I will have to get some more!  I added a Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestone to the centres then glued them on using Ranger Multi Medium Matte glue.

The sentiment is also by Craft Creations - Creative Diecut Banners - Merry Christmas silver on white which has 24 banners on the sheet.  I picked this sheet up at a Craft Show here in Melbourne.  I adhered it to my card using dimensionals.

Once I had finished my card front, I attached it to a white card base.

I am sure that you could use this image for not just Christmas; maybe for a Winter birthday (?).

I have finally finished the matching Christmas card and tag which matches the Snow Globe that I showed you on my last post.  Here is a little pic in case you missed it:

The cute little kitties on the card were coloured using paper stumps with Prismacolor + Derwent Coloursoft pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits.  I tried to add little stripes on them so they would look like ginger tabbies.  I added some little dots of white acrylic paint using the head of a pin to the kitties' hats and scarf, then added some Polar White Flowersoft using Aleen's Tacky glue to the hats and the snow.  I lightly chalked around the image with Kaisercolour blue chalk.

I punched some snowflakes out of blue and white cardstock using a Martha Stewart Snow Flurry edge punch (they are the leftover punchies after you use the punch) and attached them to the card using dimensionals, then added some light blue rhinestones to the centres.  I added the same blue rhinestones either side of the sentiment.  Note that the sentiment and kitties are all one image, ie: they are both on one stamp.

The snowflake embossing is a folder from the Cuttlebug Winter Borders set and I added a Scor-Pal line both above and below this embossing as well as underneath the ribbon.  When I tied the gingham ribbon on, I threaded through a little piece of blue organza ribbon just to add "something extra" - plus it's a good way of using up little ribbon scraps.

Just as a little tip (and I learned this through experience), I would recommend before you stamp your image, to make the Scor-Pal line at the card bottom first, then butt your embossing folder up against this line so you know it is straight, then add your Scor-Pal line on the other side.  There is nothing more annoying than colouring your image only to do the embossing or Scor-Pal lines all crooked because, trust me, being a clean and simple card, they really stand out like a sore thumb!!

The bottom blue cardstock border was punched with an EK Success Scalloped Scallop edge punch.

Now here is the matching tag.  I need one of those florist's spikey flower holder thingies that lots of cardmakers use to pop their cards/tags on as I had to lean my tag against a card so I could photograph it as it obviously won't stand up by itself!!  If you know what the spikey thing is called, please leave me a comment.  

The tag was diecut using my Cuttlebug and one of the dies from the Spellbinder Shapeabilities tag set.  I actually diecut the white cardstock using the die, then traced around the outside of the die onto blue cardstock and cut that out by hand and punched the 2 bottom corners with a corner punch.  I did this so that I could have a narrow blue border.   I masked the sentiment from the image before I stamped it and coloured it using the same method as for the card.  I added Stampendous Cotton White fun flock mixed with crystal glitter for the white bits on the hat plus the snow. The blue snowflakes were diecut using a Cuttlebug Snowflake #2 die and the white snowflakes are from the MS Snow Flurry edge punch.  I added some blue rhinestones to the snowflake centres and I popped the snowflakes up on dimensionals.

I punched a hole at the top with a 1/4" circle punch and threaded the gingham and blue organza ribbon through then tied them together with some silver cord.

The sentiments are from a Waltzingmouse clear set called "Sewing Box - Christmas" which you can find at this link here.  The snowflakes were made the same way as for the front of the tag and popped up on dimensionals.

Stampendous Freeze + Snuggly Kitties Christmas Snow Globe

I have been working on a little Christmas project to give to my DD for Christmas.  You may think it's too early for Christmas things, but the way the year is flying by (or should I say: "speeding up" LOL!!), I thought I should get myself into gear.

Late last year, I bought a couple of "do-it-yourself" Snow Globes from Riot Art and Craft but ran out of time to do them, so I pulled them out the other day and set to work.  They are very easy to do and so much fun - and so darned hard to photograph due to the reflection!  So forgive me for the bit of reflection - this was as good as I could get it after taking tons of photos at all different times of the day and on different weather days, ie: cloudy or sunny - in the shade or with different backgrounds - oh well!   In the end, I found my deck chair with the black background seemed to yield the best photo.  Here are a couple of photos of the various bits of the snowglobe so you can see the different elements.  This one is the underneath of the snowglobe with the base taken off:-

In the photo above, you should see the foam which is in the centre of the globe and you use it as a template for cutting your cardstock to just the right size.  Of course, you do 2 images - one for either side of the snowglobe - and I decided to do 2 different Stampendous images.  You must make sure that any embellies like the snowflakes, pearls etc. do NOT stick out too much or you will have trouble fitting the images back in with the foam.  I used Stampendous Cotton White Fun Flock with Crystal glitter mixed in for the snow underneath the images, the mitten cuffs and on the hats - which worked out perfectly because it doesn't stick out much.  I love how soft and fluffy it looks.   The images slot in either side of the foam.  Here are some pics of the two images ready to slide into the globe:

This next photo show the round plastic base that you put on the bottom of the globe which will stop your images from coming out.  It just clicks on.

And here is a photo of the other side of the globe once I had put the 2nd image in.  I tried to capture some of the glittery snow falling.  Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?!!  Bet you're singing it now (I know I am LOL!!).

Both pictures were coloured with Prismacolor + Derwent Coloursoft pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits.  I masked off the sentiment on the Cuddly Kitties stamp.  Here is picture of the stamp so you know what I mean:

I used the head of a pin to add small dots of white acrylic paint to the scarf and hats on the kitties plus the scarf on the snowman.  The snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart Snow Flurry edge punch (they are the leftover punchies) - and I added green rhinestones to the snowflake centres on the teddy and snowman image - and white pearls to the snowflake centres on the cuddly kitties image.  I only glued down the centres of the snowflakes and bent the snowflake outer bits up a little to give them some dimension.  I lightly chalked around the images with Kaisercolour blue chalk for the sky.  And as mentioned above, I added Stampendous Fun Flock mixed with glitter for all the fluffy white bits.  I adhered it with some craft glue.

Cuttlebug Winter House Shaker card

I'm still having fun with my "frame" cards and this particular card is a Shaker Card and is another entry in the Splitcoaststampers Flowersoft FSC14 Sprinkle Challenge of "Winter Wonderland".

I used the now-retired Cuttlebug embossing folder:  Winter House - which I have recently seen on EBay go at Auction in Australia for more than $50 - eek!!   If you Google it, you might be lucky enough to find one somewhere!  

I diecut a circle with my Spellbinder Circle Nesties, then used the larger Snowflakes embossing folder from the Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland set, then punched some icicles with my Martha Stewart Icicles edge punch and attached them underneath.  I know that you can't really tell by the photo, but there is some clear acetate over the Winter House image and I added some Polar White Flowersoft inside (approximately 1 teaspoon) which of course is the "Shaker" part of the card.. 

There is approximately 3mm thick foam tape between the Snowflakes embossing and the Winter House embossing - if you have too small a gap, the "shaker" parts get stuck underneath the acetate and don't move around freely.

I diecut some snowflakes and added Kaiser Island Lagoon Rhinestones and when I glued them to the front, I bent the edges of the snowflakes up slightly so they would stand out a bit better against the Snowflakes embossing.

This panel was then adhered to Bazzill Bling Icey Teal cardstock (I don't know the proper colour name - I am just "guessing"!), then onto more white cardstock  I love how the Bazzill Bling cardstock shimmers in the light.  Lastly, I added the ribbon in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy.

Stampendous Winter Chapel Christmas card

Hi and welcome to my Blog :-)

Carrying on the theme of "framed images" which I really love at the moment, here is another card which is essentially the same card as my other one (see this post for my Bunnies in the Snow) except with a different image.  This one is by Stampendous and is called "Winter Chapel" - I bought mine from 1-2-3 Stamps in the USA (you can also get wood-mounted instead of cling foam-mounted rubber), but if you check out the Stampendous Website, you can see the whole range of products including tutorials, projects and card samples. Can you tell I'm a big fan of their stamps?!  I think they have some of the sweetest images and I especially love their Christmas range.

I stamped the image onto KW Doggett Knight white cardstock and coloured it with Derwent Coloursoft and Prismacolor pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits (OMS).  I added lots of Polar White FlowerSoft with Aleen's Tacky Glue to the image, then added soft white acrylic paint on top just for a slightly different effect.  Because of the angle of the photo, it stands out quite a bit but looks more subtle IRL.

The snowflakes embossing is one of the embossing folders from the Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland set - it is larger than the regular size Cuttlebug folders so was perfect for making a square card for this image.  Note that I did the embossing first, then diecut the circle with my Circle Nesties so the embossing doesn't get squashed.  I popped this white embossed panel up on thick foam tape to add a little bit of dimension to the whole card.  This was then layered onto red cardstock and then again onto white cardstock with just double-sided tape for both of these layers.

Lastly, I added a white organza bow which I made with my Bow Easy, then glued on a sparkly red star brad - I cut the prongs off then glued it with Super Glue - much easier than trying to wrap the prongs around the bow knot and fiddling to get it sit properly.

Cuttlebug White Christmas card

Hi and welcome to my Blog :-)

I have had this idea running in my head to make an all-white, mostly Cuttlebugged card for Christmas, and this is what I came up with.  I LOVE all-white cards - they always seem to scream elegant - and I hope that I have gone some way in achieving that.

You can probably see how I made the card, but I shall explain a little of it - and if you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to either leave a comment or drop me an EMail.

Firstly:  make sure your corner-punch the cardstock before you do the dry embossing so you don't squash or mark the embossing.

There are four layers to the card:  the base, the snowflakes embossing, the dots embossing and the trees.  To do the dots panel, I embossed my cardstock, then very, very carefully added a top and bottom Scor-Pal line between the dots (there isn't much room so you have to be very accurate making the line - if it's crooked, it looks pretty-ordinary!), then cut the cardstock just slightly under/above the line.  At first, I did the panel without the Scor-Pal line, but it just didn't look quite right - it seemed to need a "finished edge" to it.  Note that I added the ribbon to this panel in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy - then I glued this panel to the card base.

The diecut trees are a Cuttlebug Treetops die/folder combo which I bought back in 2008 when I first bought my Cuttlebug, and when I Googled it, it seems to be readily available in Australia - not sure about overseas.  There are four different trees in the set, but I decided to just have 3 the same on my card.   In any case, I think that even if you don't have this die, you could hand-cut some trees and either leave them plain or perhaps run them through your Cuttlebug with some other folder.  I popped the trees up on 2mm mounts (dimensionals).

The sentiment was stamped with Sky gray pigment ink and heat-embossed with Pearl clear embossing powder.  I love how it made the sentiment look a bit silvery, but not as bright as silver - just nice and understated - I didn't want it to stand out too much. I also ran my ink pad around the edge of the oval just to make it stand out a bit more against the Snowflakes embossing. This panel is also up on 2mm mounts.
