I did alter my card a bit compared to the sample picture in the Card Kit and added the 40 which is from the Cut-a-Part Sheet that came in the kit. I diecut the 40 using my Big Shot and Lifestyle Nesting Circle Dies. Some of the layers are roughed up a bit on the edges with a pair of scissors and some are popped up with scraps of cardstock which saves on the cost of using dimensionals.

Uniquely Creative Drive and Fly 40th Birthday Card
Hi Blogging Friends 😀
Today I am sharing a 40th Birthday Card that I made for my nephew. It is hard to believe he is turning 40; how time flies!
The card I made is from a fabulous Card Kit by Uniquely Creative called 'Drive and Fly' which was originally released in August 2021. The card kit is sold out at Uniquely Creative - however you can buy the individual components from plenty of other Australian retailers and there are plenty of card samples on Pinterest to inspire you.

This kit would have to be one of my most-favourite releases by Uniquely Creative as the cars are Australian. The car on my card is a Holden Torana SLR5000. Unfortunately, we no longer manufacture cars in Australia due to the cost and we rely on imports these days.
And now a little something about me: back in my 20s, I used to be in two Car Clubs: The Ford Four Car Club and The Mini Car Club of Victoria. I used to compete in Club Level Motorsport and owned both a racing car and a rally car - and it was THE MOST FUN TIME of my life and was a great fit socially for me as I was never into make-up, clothes shopping or going out to parties. I have always loved cars since I was a little kid, no doubt influenced by my late father's love of cars and encouragement to learn about cars and how to do basic maintenance and even change a tyre or fan belt. I was fortunate to meet my husband in the Mini Car Club and we have been married for 35 years. Our racing days are long over as it's a very expensive hobby and sold our last racing car when I was pregnant about 21 years ago. So, you may have learned a little bit more about me today😊 Probably a surprise as most people look at me quizzically when I talk about my motor racing and rally days!
There is not much else to say about the card other than the finished size is 13 cm x 13 cm or about 5-1/8" x 5-1/8".
Thanks for visiting my blog today.
