Kaisercraft Waratah Wishes Christmas Card!
Hi everyone,
Just sharing another Christmas Card using the most recent Kaisercraft Christmas Release: Waratah Wishes. I love the soft and muted tones in this collection.
I gave this card to my daughter because we have Cockatoos that visit our garden. One in particular that my daughter has befriended is Kevin and will sit on her arm to feed which is really special. Of course, skin protection is a must because of their large and powerful claws. At least Kevin isn't naughty and destructive and noisy unlike other Cockatoos who have ripped plants and flowers out and chewed our decking and window sills and scream at the top of their lungs. If you haven't heard how LOUD a Cockatoo can be, believe me when I say that if you are close-by, it just about blows your head off! Those ones get shooed away in no uncertain terms!
The main image is from the Waratah Wishes Collectables and was popped up on Uniquely Creative dimensionals. I diecut a circle from one of the 12" x 12" papers in soft blue tones from the Waratah Wishes Collection using my Big Shot and a Lifestyle Nesting Circle die then diecut a scalloped circle from a pink-toned 12" x 12" paper using a Lifestyle Nesting Scalloped Circle die.
The side panel was dry-embossed using a Couture Creations Twiggy Christmas embossing folder. It was layered onto Kaisercraft Dewdrop Cardstock and trimmed to 1/8" using my We R Memory Keepers Perfect Layers Guides. The poly satin ribbon is from my stash and I added Fray Stop to the cut ends to stop them from fraying. I glued on a White Glitter Cardstock Star from my stash of diecut and punched stars that are ready to go for my Christmas Cards using Helmar's 450 Liquid Adhesive. I popped this panel up on scraps of white cardstock.
The sentiment is also from the Collectables and was glued onto a Dewdrop Cardstock Spellbinders Large Scalloped Circle diecut.
The 3 Sparklets on the bottom RHS were glued on using Helmar's 450 Adhesive. I bought these Sparklets in a pack of assorted colours from EBay ages ago. Kaisercraft used to sell Sparklets but sadly, no longer :-(
The pink designer paper matting on the card base was trimmed to 1/16" using my We R Memory Keepers Perfect Layers Guides; the Dewdrop cardstock was trimmed to 1/8".
Once I had finished my card front, I glued it to a Uniquely Creative Square White Card Base.
Lastly, I added some Uniquely Creative Clear Glitter Brush to the red waratah and berries on the main image.
I am continuing to make Christmas Cards whilst I am still in a Christmas mood to try and get a head-start on next year. I thought I may as well as I still have everything out in my Craft Room.
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
Jocelyn
